I had the same problems years ago when I tried to use Tex-Mod for cartography. My security would not allow it to run on my computer. I had both MSE and McAfee at the time, so I didn't know which was to blame. I had to bump and grind the whole set of titles for months without it. I later heard that Tex Mod itself was a worm anyway, so I was ok with that.
The good thing about MSE is that you can adjust the security level for online use. You may need to set it at a minimum to use Tex Mod, which is not good unless you only play GW on that computer. I'm not sure how you would go about that on Windows 7, since I have Vista, but I'm sure there is information in your help tables, or Microsoft's online site.
What strikes me is that you said you have no problems with it on the other computer. Is your security different on that computer? Maybe you picked up the trojan by some other means than Tex Mod, and because Tex Mod is a worm it revealed the trojan? IDK how it would work on 1 comp without problems and not the other. It seems to be more of an issue with the 1 comp and not the program. You should look into that a little more thoroughly. Anyway,
Good Luck!
